From mathematician, Andre Vandergeten became a Behaviorist at the University of Utrecht, Holland.
After different field studies in Africa and a research program on stress resistance, and respecting an old family tradition (his grandfather initiated him at the age of 7 in the art of Belgium Ring), dogs became his favorite subject:
PUTTING REINFORCEMENT IN PRACTICE, WITH AN ACCENT ON LEARNING IN A PLAYFUL WAY.
He gained experience in the French and Belgium Ring, as well as in the Schutzhund and International Program as a handler, decoy, and instructor.
He also works closely teaching Police and Armed Forces in how to train for special tasks.
As president of the dog school “Alkyno” he succeeded in changing the concept of training. Instead of breaking the subject, he teaches not only the subject, but also the handler to think in perfect cooperation.
